Hello, everyone!
We held our last artefact presentation last week. It eventually came together this past week on Thursday, October 27, after weeks of work, numerous workshops, and lectures on topics like heat press, mending, repair, reconstructing, and deconstruction. We had to demonstrate our work and our project. The artefact project was the very first project that I worked on during my time at uca. During this project, it was exciting to learn new ideas to add, and since I was satisfied with my work and what I had been working on for a few weeks, I felt a bit nervous during the presentation.
During my presentation, I received feedback that my layout was obvious, direct, and easy. Since my artefact was basic, it was also helpful for me to have included various concepts and designs into this project. Next time, I should improve my presentation skills by speaking louder and leaving my comfort zone. I was pleased with the outcome of this project as it related to nostalgia, and it is a wonderful first project, to begin with, and it is special to be nostalgic about old core memories. What I would do differently the next time is present my work with more confidence and talk louder. This was an awesome project that I have worked on, I gained new skills through involvement in workshops. I now know how to use a heat press to print on various materials. Additionally, I have learnt several techniques for repairing items and how to use them rather than wasting them. So that is it world that was my artefact project experience ๐ catch up with you all later.
